Epilogue

“You better not go easy on me,” I growled at Finlay.

He bounced the ball twice before holding it and smiling wide. “Oh, baby, I should be saying that to you.”

I blushed at his use of the nickname, baby, but knew he did it to try to work me up. “That’s not going to work on me,” I grumbled.

He chuckled and served the ball. “We’ll see.”

I did not win that day, but I totally won at life.

Finlay and I officially became girlfriend and boyfriend a week after the Championships. We moved in together a month later, and our championship trophies sat side by side on the mantel.

My new goal became just enjoying tennis recreationally. I received a few proposals to turn professional, but the only proposal I wanted was from Finlay.

He continued to dominate the courts, while I became an assistant tennis coach at the college, so I got to dominate him at practice.

It was a win-win for us both.

Finlay draped a sweaty arm around me as we headed off the court. “I love you.”

I turned and kissed his cheek. “I love you, too.”
